International Conference “Tool Fair XIII #Power UP”. Observations and advantages.

International conference “Tool Fair XIII #Power UP” took place from the 12th (arrival) to the 16th (departure) of November in Split, Croatia. More than 130 participants from 35 countries attended the Conference.

The focus of the event was really diverse. Each participant had an opportunity to choose the seminar according to their personal interest and organize their individual agenda.

The first truly productive day (13th of November) started with the Split’s cultural and historical heritage discovering. The 13th session opening took place at the Diocletian’s Palace. Participants could obtain information about different Split’s sights and traditions after the opening.

After the lunch time, the activities were divided into groups. The seminar led by Ana Maria Andrioaie paid particular attention to the discussions of ethical problems in business, governmental and NGO sectors, and their further possible solving.

The second day of the conference started with the seminar “Ignite your Skills” led by Sanja Zanki Pejič. The seminar spotlighted 8 core competences in accordance with Youth Pass system, and gave opportunity to the participants to create an individual video clip that reflects one of the competences.

The following seminar led by Kristiina Pernits was devoted to SALTO resources and their consumption. The information regarding YOUTHPASS development and Erasmus Exchange project opportunities was provided during the seminar. The focus of attention was discussing the possibility to use SALTO platform for distance learning.

It was possible to discover the principles of HAKA methods and their implementation in the team work.  Wahib Ben Chahlaled led the seminar.

The day ended with the tool exhibition (Tool Fair Market ) that introduced participants to the methods and principles applied in entrepreneurship, education and social work.

The third (last) day presented the seminar on innovative and critical way of thinking. Ceyhun Uzun and Javier Martinez delivered the seminars.

The first session focused on developing such skills as creative thinking and team work skills. Participants were offered to develop an innovative solution and apply to a traditional object.

The second session was devoted to critical thinking skills and their applying to everyday life.

The intensive three-days conference allowed to gather information about various educational, entrepreneurial and social work tools. Many thanks go to the conference organizers, moderators and participants.
